This course equips learners with knowledge and skills to apply shipyard safety for workers in general trade operating in the shipbuilding and ship repairing work environment.

Course Content:

  1. Understand legal obligations in workplace safety and health
  2. Identify hazards in a shipyard
  3. Recognize the different types of industrial safety signs
  4. Understand the application process for a safety permit prior to hot work
  5. personal protective equipment
  6. Apply safety precautions when working with different hazards
  7. Respond to fire and emergency

All workers who work in the shipbuilding and ship repairing industry.

The trainees should be able to read and understand basic English,
Recertification entry requirement,
Should have a valid Apply Workplace Safety and Health in the Shipyard (General Trade Safety Pass)

Passing Mark: 60%
